What is the EWGA?

Our Mission:  Connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and fun

Founded in 1991, the EWGA is an international organization that brings women together for golf and for fun; the Seattle Chapter was established in 1993 and is one of over 115 local chapters around the US and in 4 other countries. It's an organization that offers something for everyone, whether new to the game or looking for another option for competition. EWGA.com provides an excellent overview of EWGA member benefits.

Welcome to EWGA Seattle Chapter

Since 1993, the EWGA Seattle Chapter has promoted the growth of women's golf in the Pacific Northwest.

EWGA is the golf organization for women who want to learn and play golf.  If any of these apply to you, then check us out!  We may be the group for you:

  • You are an avid golfer, looking for organized events at local courses
  • You want to play golf, but can't find the people, places or time
  • You want an opportunity to learn the rules of the game or golf etiquette
  • You want to learn about golf handicaps and how to get one
  • You travel and want a source for woman-friendly courses and or friendly golf companions in other areas
  • You want to test or improve your golf skills through friendly competitions

Our chapter is part of an international EWGA organization. You can join through the EWGA website, either online or by downloading the new member application.

We hope to see you on the course soon!

This site also includes information from the national EWGA organization. If you get to a page where you no longer see the "Seattle Chapter" tab as a choice across the top of the page, you are on the national site. Don't fret! You should be able to get back to the Seattle Chapter site via your back arrow or add EWGA Seattle website to your browser bookmarks so you can always find it.  Contact chapterwebsite@ewgaseattle.org if you are not able to find what you're looking for.

When you join the EWGA you join an international organization, you need to select a local chapter (Seattle) to which to affiliate. If you like what you've read and are ready to join, sign up now! The linked page outlines the various membership options and links you to the membership option that best fits you. Note that there are reduced rates for new members age 18-30 or age 65 and over. These require printing and sending registration with proof of age; the link to that form is here.

2018 Birdies, Eagles and Accomplishments

For 2018 we will continue having fun, if you have a birdie, eagle, hole-in-one or any other fun accomplishment during your golf round, take a picture and with the hash-tag #EWGASeaBird18 send it to our president and post it on social media. Our president will be building a photo album to share at the year-end banquet.
Send the photo, with the date, golf course, hole #, and whether it’s a birdie, eagle, etc.
