Welcome to the EWGA Seattle Chapter

This site also includes a lot of info from our national EWGA organization. If you get to a page where you no longer see the "Seattle Chapter" tab as a choice across the top of the page, you are on the national site. Don't fret! You should be able to get back to the Seattle Chapter site via your back arrow. Contact chapterwebsite@ewgaseattle.org if you are not able to find what you're looking for.

Girls Golf Mentoring Event - July 22

On Saturday, July 22nd we have TWO playing opportunities for you.

Mentoring Opportunity:

For the first time in years we’re providing you the awesome opportunity to help mentor girl golfers by pairing with them for a round of Scramble golf on the short 9 course at Jackson Park Golf Course

A few years ago, The First Tee of Greater Seattle partnered with the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program to offer a Girls Club format for life skills and golf classes.  Girls Club seeks to promote a positive environment for girls ages 7 to 18 years old to build healthy self-esteem while learning the game of golf. With the help of strong female coaches, mentors and role models, participants are safe to learn in a girl-friendly environment that promotes confidence in self-expression. On average, girls are twice as likely to have dropped out of sports entirely by the age of 14. At Girls Club, The First Tee creates an environment where girls can excel in the sport of golf and are encouraged to explore the many opportunities the sport provides.

From 10am to 12pm:
Each EWGA mentor will be paired with girl golfers and participate in a Scramble format golf event on the Jackson Park short 9 course.  Because the First Tee is a youth-based organization, a background investigation is required for all participants in this part of the day.  It simply requires you to provide your First and  Last Name and your birthday when you register for the event.

Cost for this event is $11 and includes greens fees and a prize fund. Sign up here

Deadline for sign up is July 11th.

Playing Opportunity:

1pm:
After the mentoring we hope you’ll plan to stay and play 18 holes on the big course at Jackson Park (EWGA & guest participants only).

If the mentoring activity is not for you, please consider joining us for this part of the day to enjoy a fun afternoon of golf on a challenging yet very playable City of Seattle gem of a golf course.

Cost for this portion of the event is $32 and includes greens fees only. Sign up here.

Deadline for sign up is July 11th.
