Typically the EWGA Seattle Chapter offers various clinics and lessons for the new and experienced golfer each year. Examples of past activities include a handicap overview, short game clinics, and golf fitness classes.

1st Clinic: “Keys to Consistency”
Did you know that once you’ve master the basic pre-swing fundamentals of golf you have the best possible chance of making a consistent swing? Please join us on Saturday April 23rd to learn more about these fundamentals and then play 9 holes of fun golf to practice what you’ve just learn. Our first education clinic of the season, Keys to Consistency, will include how to hold the club (“grip”), understanding good setup and posture, aligning the clubface and body to the target, and understanding pre-shot routines. This clinic followed by 9 holes of fun golf will be at Interbay Golf Center on Saturday April 23rd starting at 9:00 am. The cost for this event is $38.00 and includes both the clinic and 9 holes of golf. This is going to be a fun filled event and we hope you can join us. Register online. 2nd Clinic: “Pre Warm-up Exercising Program” (30 mins) & “Managing Challenging Lies and Conditions”
We all know how important it is to warm-up before our golf game but do we really do it and do you know what exercises are the best ones? Well, prior to our clinic on Saturday May 7th Pritam Andreassen from Strength Connection will tell us. These low impact exercises are intended to functionally warm-up the body for a round of golf. Once we’re all warmed up Val Patrick will conduct a clinic on understanding the techniques for hitting from a variety of different lies and conditions between the tee and the green. Topics will include hitting from uphill, downhill, and side-hill lies, accessing lies in the rough and choosing the appropriate shot, club, and technique for playing in wet or windy conditions. The fun starts at 8:30 am at Heron Links Golf Course in Redmond. The cost for this event is $40.00. Register online. The registration deadline for this event is Thursday May 5th. 3rd & 4th Clinic: “Strategies for Getting Up and Down” & “Be a Great Short Putter”
Clinics 3 and 4 will be held at Newcastle Golf Club on Saturday May 21st. Clinic #3 “Strategies for Getting Up and Down” will give us information to help make better choices for getting up and down from around the green. This will include pitching and chipping techniques and discussing how to make shot and club choices from a variety of different circumstances around the green. Clinic #4 “Be a Great Short Putter” focuses on the skills and techniques to improve short putting (inside 15 feet). This program also includes alignment, “trust”, drills and practice techniques to improve short putting. The fun starts at 12:00 pm and each clinic is approximately 1 hour. The cost for this event is $80.00. Two instructors will be available for a more one on one coaching. Register online. The registration deadline for this event is Thursday May 19th.
