As a member of EWGA, you have the opportunity to participate in the largest women's amateur golf competition in the world - the EWGA Championship. The Championship starts with the local Chapter Championship, progresses to the Regional Semi-Final, and then to the 2017 National Championship.
The Championship program gives everyone with a registered handicap of 40.4 or less the opportunity to participate in competitive golf and to become more familiar with the rules of golf. And before you think you're "not good enough" to participate, think again!! What makes this tournament so cool is that it's "flighted". This means you'll be paired with and compete against women who are in the same handicap bracket as you are. There are FIVE flights based on registered handicap.
Compete as a Scramble Team
Still not sure? Find three EWGA friends and put together a Scramble Team. A scramble team has four members who compete as a team against other scramble teams. Scramble Team players all must have handicaps, but there is no maximum as in stroke play. New this year – TWO teams (instead of one) advance to the next level of the tournament!
All participants in our Chapter Championship must be EWGA members in good standing and must be a female amateur golfer per the EWGA Gender Policy as adopted by the USGA .
