During the golf "down season" of November to April, we try to stay connected through fun social activities,in addition to often having an indoor league on a simulated course. Our activities range from happy hours and pizza night to bowling and bingo, and some volunteer activities, too.
As the 2013 season approached, we invited several Seattle area LPGA and PGA teaching pros to join us for a reception at Wine World and Spirits. We enjoyed hearing their teaching philosophies, and we all had a great time getting acquainted and talking golf!
Our "official" start to the season is the annual Tee-Off brunch, usually held in early April. The 2013 event returned to the Nile Shrine and was followed by golf in typical April weather in Seattle...from sun to rain! The Tee-Off is a great place for prospective members to learn about EWGA and to talk with current members. Our guest speaker, ROOT Sports' Jen Mueller, talked about the importance of being able to talk sports
in the work environment. Then it was off to the course!
