League Play

By Marcia Bartlett, League Co-chair And here we go... league play has been underway for several weeks now and it’s so great to reconnect with old friends and meets some new ones. Let’s hope our spring weather doesn’t rain on us too much! We have leagues running at all our usual courses except Maplewood. We hope to have at least one foursome at Maplewood in the future. If you know anyone who works or lives in the south sound area, encourage them to try a session at Maplewood or Fosters. They are both great courses. As we start league play remember to welcome new members and help them feel comfortable. It was just 2 years ago that I signed up for the Nile league and didn’t know anyone. The other players were friendly and welcoming and it made my experience with EWGA fantastic. Another way to be involved with EWGA is to participate in the weekend events. Tammy Curtis has done a fantastic job setting up our great weekend events. It’s a great way to meet players from other leagues and have some fun social time as well. We would like to welcome new league coordinators Beth Lee at Fosters and Debbie McCleery at Mount Si. Thank you so much for stepping up and making a commitment to EWGA.
