March President’s Corner

Hi Ladies!
The tulips and daffodils are starting to come up – do you know what that means? Yep, our season-opening Tee-Off is just around the corner! I am so excited about our upcoming Tee-Off brunch and golf outing that I have to share a recent experience. After our last board meeting, Ria sent out the invitations to this year’s Tee-Off. I assume all of you have received your invitation; if not, please go to our website and take a look. We are in for a great day!
Anyway, when I received my invitation, I thought, “This year, I’m going to invite some friends, colleagues and family to participate.” So I went through my Outlook database, LinkedIn, Plaxo, and Facebook friends and sent out an email inviting everyone that I thought would be interested. Let me tell you, I had no idea how many people I know that golf or are interested in getting started or restarted in the game. It was wonderful to hear back with enthusiasm from so many people that I haven’t kept in touch with. Not all are able to attend, but a fair share are very interested in attending. Some are even considering joining so they can participate in one of our leagues. The additional benefit from doing this was I got an opportunity to catch up with some many people that I think of often, just never take the time to reach out to.
So ladies, I would strongly suggest that you too take advantage of this opportunity to reach out to your collection of friends, colleagues and family members. As always, feel free to contact anyone of us on the board should you have an interest in helping out with the event in any capacity. We thoroughly appreciate any help and look forward to getting to know you better. I look forward to seeing everyone soon at Bear Creek.
Dee
