2010 Seattle EWGA Weekend Events Preview

By Tammy Curtis, Events Chair Your 2010 Weekend Golf Events team has been very busy setting up the 2010 non-league golf events for you this year and we have a fun-filled calendar planned! Sign-up for the first event on April 3 is live on the EWGA Seattle website and the remainder of the year's events will be live for sign-up by mid-March. The first few events include: - Sat, April 3, 1:30 p.m. - After Tee-Off Golf at Redmond Ridge. All golfers must also attend the Tee-Off Brunch at Bear Creek Country Club - this is our official start of the season! Sign up is live on the website, so sign up today. - Sat, April 17, 10 a.m. - New Member Mixer/Fun Play at Mount Si Golf Course. A perfect opportunity to meet new members and catch up with old friends, this event mixes old and new members for a fun day of golf at a beautiful course. - Fri, April 23 - Sun, April 25, "Spring Training." Our annual 3-day weekend golf event in the Wenatchee area. Along with some awesome golf courses (Moses Pointe, Highlander, Desert Canyon) this year will include a bit of wine tasting as well! - Sun, May 2, 10 a.m. - Pink Ball fun tourney at Legion Memorial in Everett. If you haven't tried this format, now is your time. More info online in a few weeks - all levels of skill are encouraged to participate! Highlights for the rest of the year include: - Seafair Golf - Golf at a local course while the Blue Angels fly overhead! - Member/New Member Scramble tournament working with our "Fairway Friends" program (formerly known as S.W.I.N.G.). - 4-day weekend golf event in the Spokane area (hosted by the Spokane EWGA Chapter) - Palouse Ridge, Circling Raven, Creek at Qualchan and Downriver Muni. - "Tournament 101" Tournament at Lynnwood Muni (formerly known as "the Mentor Tournament") - this event is set up for those of you wanting a little guidance prior to entering a real live tournament. - The Stars and Stripes Tournament at Kayak - a fun tourney set up to celebrate the red, white and blue! - The Chapter Championship on July 31 - 3-day weekend member/spouse/guest golf weekend on the Olympic Peninsula at 3 fabulous courses (Port Ludlow, Dungeness and White Horse). And if that's not enough to get you excited about the 2010 golf season, we also have 10 other weekend tee times interspersed among these events, all at different courses in the Seattle area.
