Leagues Update

By Marcia Bartlett and Cornelia Kromm, League Chairs

It’s hard to believe we have started session #2 already. I think we all had one rainout, and a couple rainy days, so I don’t know about you but I’m ready for some golf and SUN! Session #2 signups are good with a record 28 golfers at Bellevue Municipal. We are looking seriously at adding a couple of new courses to our offerings for session #3 including Interbay, Bear Creek, and Harbour Pointe. Please fill out the survey sent last week seeking your input on whether you would be interested in golfing at these locations. We appreciate your feedback.

What is the best way to invite a friend to join EWGA? Invite her to play on a league night or a weekend event. Several women I’ve talked to are worried they aren’t good enough to play in our leagues or that we are too competitive. Once they come as a guest, they see as long as they keep up with pace of play, it doesn’t matter what your score is. Most of us are more concerned about where we are going after golf! I know I have several women on my list to bring as a guest this session. The same goes for weekend events.

And finally, our league coordinators are doing a fantastic job! We appreciate your efforts and time spent on EWGA Leagues. Please make your coordinator’s job easier by being at the course on time, getting a sub or letting her know if you cannot attend. Every little bit helps.

Reverse every natural instinct and do the opposite of what you are inclined to do, and you will probably come very close to having a perfect golf swing. ~ Ben Hogan
