July President’s Corner

By Dee Johnson, Seattle Chapter President Rain, rain, go away; My golfing buddies are rusting away! The fairways are rutty, The greens are muddy, And we have limited summer days! As you can tell, I’ve had it with the rain. Unlike some of our members, I am a fair weather golfer, so these gray, drizzly days have not brought out the inner golfer in me. I understand (via our Facebook page) that there is a hardy contingent that continues to get out and enjoy all the outings and leagues. To those doing that I say thanks for being my inspiration! Speaking of inspiration, I want to tell all those members who have family members, friends, or acquaintances in the armed services how much we appreciate their sacrifices for our freedoms. We will be thinking of them once again on Independence Day. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!
