Events Update

By Debby Andresen Our 2010 events are well underway. June brought the much-anticipated four-day weekend with the Spokane Chapter held June 10-13. A big thank you to Ronna and the Spokane EWGA Chapter for being such gracious hostesses! We started the weekend at Palouse Ridge (home of the Cougars) under stormy skies; the weather was damp but spirits remained high. Friday we played the picturesque and challenging Circling Raven; trees, sand bunkers and elevated greens proved for a challenging but fun day. Saturday and Sunday brought SUN, near 80-degree weather, a very large SNAKE, some "fat-cats" and lots of laughs. You can view pictures of all the shenanigans at "Spokane INW EWGA" on Facebook. Below are descriptions of some of the near-term good times to be had - please pay close attention to deadlines! - July 25 – Gold Mountain Golf Club, Bremerton: A warm up for those playing in the Chapter Championship and fun play for everyone. Sign up deadline is July 14. Sign up online. - July 31- Gold Mountain Golf Club, Bremerton: The Seattle EWGA Chapter Championship - this is a great tournament for players at all levels and is open to individuals and scramble teams. Sign up deadline is July 20. See related article for more information. - August 8 – Jefferson Park, Seattle: The much-anticipated Blue Angels Weekend event. Held during SeaFair, the Blue Angels perform right overhead as we enjoy a day on the links! Sign up deadline is July 21. Sign up online. - August 20 - 22 – Olympic Peninsula member and guest 3-day golf weekend: Join us for all or some of the three days of great golf at Port Ludlow, Dungeness, and White Horse golf courses.
