Winter League Was a Blast

By Dee Sweeney, Winter League Coordinator Sixteen women had a blast golfing in our Winter League at Swing Doctors indoor studio in Kirkland. Marie Daquiz and Cherie Litson helped me coordinate three week-nights of league from October through February. A few of the women even came back on their own to play a bit in March. Competition was steep, but Susan Fay, Carolyn Swanson and Marie Daquiz prevailed to come in first place during the first, second and third sessions, respectively. We played at a different course “virtually” each week and had the added benefit of receiving coaching tips from PGA Pros, Joe Brown and Mike Swanson. What a great way to spend those chilling winter months. Now when we go out to play this spring it won’t feel quite so strange to hit that little white ball around the course! In fact, many of us expect to see our handicaps go way down this year! We hope you enjoyed your winter away from the course as much as we did. Please join us in next season for Winter League.
