April President’s Corner

By Dee Johnson, Seattle Chapter President

We are within days of our Tee-Off event. I hope everyone is ready for a fun-filled day! Are you bringing a friend to introduce them to EWGA? I hope so! If not, remember that you CAN bring a guest to a weekend event to introduce them to our great group.

I don’t know how many of you have taken the time to check out the new national website. It seems a bit overwhelming and not so user-friendly at first, especially if you were used to the older version, but once you get into it, it does get better.

On that note, I wanted to highlight why introducing our friends and family to EWGA is such a great opportunity. In addition to meeting and networking with a fun and intelligent group of women, there are added benefits. Here are just a few – I encourage each of you to take the time to look at our local site and the national site to see what EWGA has to offer you. On our local website you will see our weekend events and league play opportunities in various locations. (Right now we don’t have any league play south of Renton, but if anyone is interested in getting something started further south, please feel free to contact our league coordinators.) We also have some networking and educational events throughout the year listed on the site. On the national level there are various discounts available:

- Golf apparel from Cutter & Buck, Ecco, and Sporty Chic Designs.
- Golf equipment from ClubGlider, Golf Galaxy, and Golfsmith.
- Improve your game with GolfTec (local and national sponsors).
- Golf Fitness Magazine
- Golf courses and resorts, including Sonoma, Troon, and Pinehurst.
- Travel deals from Alamo, Avis, and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
- Other products and services such as Amazon, 1-800-Flowers.com, and Women’s Sports Services.

I encourage everyone to take the time to look at both sites and use the benefits you pay for:

Our local and national teams work very diligently to produce benefits that are of interest to you and make your investment in EWGA well worth it.

Think sunshine for April 3! I look forward seeing everyone!

Dee
