Adieu to Golf for Women Magazine
|
|
By now, you’ve probably received the letter from Conde Nast, publishers of Golf
for Women magazine announcing the decision to cease publication due to
“economic realities.” July/August is the final issue.
In a notice to EWGA leadership, Trish Davis, the association’s chief operating
officer, wrote: This news came as a shock and surprise to all of us here at
EWGA headquarters and as we understand it, to those employed at Golf for Women
magazine. It truly is a loss - for women's golf and for the members of the
EWGA.
EWGA members will continue to receive a subscription to Golf Digest.
Conde Nast Portfolio, which launched in April 2007, is being added. The
publication, which touts itself as seeing business differently, promises
“fascinating stories of ambition, invention, ego, drama, and conflict.”
