Call for Nominations for 2009 Chapter Offices

By Sally Dixon, Leadership Chair It’s Your Turn to Get Involved! Yes, it is your turn. We have many capable and willing members who have the skills, the talent, and the desire to lead our Chapter. This is your opportunity to make a positive difference – please do it now – or no later than August 15. Our Chapter Bylaws call for the membership to elect the Chapter Officers (president, vice president, treasurer and secretary), and for the officers to appoint the committee chairs. This year we will be electing officers for the following terms of office: President: 1 year term Vice President: 1 year term Secretary: 2 year term An overview of the duties of each office and a nominating form can be found on our Chapter website. You can nominate yourself or someone else from the membership who you feel would be a great asset to our leadership and to foster the growth of our Chapter. EWGA’s mission is to provide opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. Being a Chapter board member or committee volunteer is a meaningful way to contribute to the Chapter decisions and operations and to help carry out our mission. Yes, it takes a commitment, but the reward is tremendous! Please consider making a leadership commitment by completing and returning the nomination form to Leadership@ewgaseattle.org by August 15. Many of us joined the organization without knowing anyone in EWGA. The friendships we have made and the lives we have touched – and been touched by -- have been amazing rewards for such a minimal contribution. I encourage you to join us in sharing that experience. We welcome golfers of all abilities so that more women can learn, play and enjoy the game of golf. It takes volunteers to make that happen…and to help this chapter remain one of the top in the country. Please consider being a part of the new ideas and commitments for our future.
